Yiting Liu is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York with a background in oil painting and Guqin music. She holds MFA and MA degrees from the New York Academy of Art and the Academy of Art University and furthered her studies in art business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
Liu’s work bridges traditional Chinese culture and contemporary art, drawing inspiration from pre-Qin literature and philosophy. Her paintings reinterpret historical narratives, translating abstract concepts into visual language to foster a deeper connection between viewers and history. Influenced by the Guqin’s tonalities—Universe, Earth, and Humanity—her synesthetic approach merges music and painting, blending tradition with modernity.
